Preko has a long tradition in tourism. The Promotion Society was active as early as the period between the two world wars. In terms of tourism, Preko comprises the surrounding villages of Sutomiscica, Poljana and Osljak on the island of the same name. The most attractive location for tourists is a beach on the wooded island of Galovac, only 80 m from the centre of Preko. Preko has a number of very good restaurants.
